On behalf of the Tri-Cities Autism Coalition, we thank you for participating in, “Our Autism Journey – Better Together.” Your support created community wide awareness about a disability that affects approximately 1 in 36 individuals and ensured that this will become an annual event.

Our mission at the Tri-Cities Autism Coalition is three-fold: we work to (1) End the isolation (2) Empower Families and (3) Create Community.

Your contribution helped us further these goals by creating an inclusive event for over 2,600 community members. In total, over 100 businesses and partners participated and provided services, which included sensory friendly activities for our attendees. Additionally, we had 10 professionals, educators, and self-advocates create Ted Talks aimed at education on important topics directly related to Autism.

As a result of your contributions, isolated community members made important interpersonal connections, were provided information on how to support family members with autism and empowered participation in activities structured for this disability. Our Autism Journey was met with inspiring feedback from participants that finally had a platform to interact, connect, and learn.

None of this would have been possible without your support. In the future, making the Journey an annual event will create greater organization and more opportunities to fulfill our mission as it relates to the Autism Community. We look forward to a strong association with you and having your support in our next endeavor.
